Thinning Hair
Thinning hair or hair loss can happen to women and men at any stage of adulthood, and it can even begin during the teenage years.
What causes thinning hair?
Thinning hair or hair loss can happen to women and men at any stage of adulthood, and it can even begin during the teenage years. This emotionally disheartening concern can be caused by changes in hormones, stress, unhealthy hair habits, a poor diet, genetics, cosmetic procedures and/or medical condition and illnesses. Hair follicles produce new hair cells at an average rate of 6 inches per year, but as we age, that hair growth rate decreases. As a result, you may notice the hair on your scalp thinning, a bald spot developing on the top of the head and/or a receding hairline. For women specifically, it is common to experience an overall thinning of the hair.
What kind of treatments does Nouveau Medspas provide?
At Nouveau Medspas, we provide AquaGold treatments. Plasma is another term for the liquid that is our blood, but plasma contains red blood cells, white blood cells and natural growth factors. Growth factors are very important in the healing of injuries, but they can also be used to stimulate hair follicles.* A hair restoration serum that has more growth factors than what is typically found in the blood, usually 5-10 times richer/greater, is then created. In order to develop this serum, your own blood will be drawn. Growth factors are then separated from other blood cells and their concentration is increased during a centrifuge process.
